Employment Empowerment Initiative
We want to make sure you have the right tools to succeed in the workplace.
The Employment Empowerment Initiative, also known as EEI, is a program under Mañe'lu. Our goal is to prepare individuals to enter, or reenter, the workforce by providing culturally and linguistically appropriate work readiness and job guidance programs and services.
EEI hosts a series of workplace readiness workshops that teach soft skills, resume writing, interview techniques, and how to have a healthy relationship with money. Additionally, our team helps you connect with the job, or the training, that you need to achieve your goals.
Our Workshops
-
The Money Smart workshop is a three-part series that encourages creating positive banking relationships, money management habits, and other financial practices that are supported by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)
-
The Skills to Pay the Bills workshop focuses on teaching the six “soft” (non-technical) skills that were identified by employers as essential skills to help employees thrive. Refresh your understanding of communication skills, improve your problem-solving skills, explore effective teamwork and networking, and enhance skills to succeed
-
Our Pre-Employment workshop prepares participants to enter the workforce by going through the process of obtaining a job. Participants learn how to write an effective resume, properly fill out a job application, and practice ways to ace their interview for the job that they want.
-
In this workshop, participants are offered the tools and experience needed to enter the workforce. Attendees will draft a resume, practice filling out application forms, experience a mock interview, and gain tips and tricks about professional dress and interview etiquette.
